SO MUCH LOVE FOR VALENTINE
Valentine’s Story and Status
When the good people at OMYA Limestone in Lucrene Valley found Valentine, they called Reg at Sounds of Silent Spirits Sanctuary. This first call initiated an outpouring of compassion and caring that have saved this dog’s life. When Chuck and Reg brought Valentine into the Bear Valley Pet Clinic she was in bad shape. The people who had tortured and dragged her had left her for dead.
* Her muzzle was bound with black electrical tape
* Her front paws were broken, the left one can be saved, her right front paw will be amputated
* Her skull was crushed, possibly with a rock
* She suffered abrasions, possibly from dragging over much of her body
* Her stomach had to be pumped, as it was full of gravel and rocks
The cruelty Valentine experienced is over. She is resting comfortably at the vets. When Reg saw her this morning, Valentine had a great appetite and was wagging her tail. She may have just started on the road to recovery, but Valentine knows she is safe and surrounded by people who love and care for her.
What does the Future hold for Valentine? Because of generous donations from around the world Valentine will be at the Bear Valley Animal Hospital until she is fully recovered and very likely fitted with a
prosthetic front paw.

what was done to Valentines left paw ~ and I thought it had said that her right paw was already amputated days ago?
please clear up for us
many thanks… also will her left paw be ok?
Her left paw was injured, but she is expected to recover full use of her left paw. Her right paw was amputated and as part of her rehabilitation, she will use a prosthetic paw.
You are correct, she did have her right paw amputated about two and half weeks ago.
She will hopefully have her prosthetic in the coming week. She unfortuantely will need
to have a pin surgically placed in her left paw as the bones are not healing properly.
So, a couple more weeks at the Hospital and then she will stay with our Founder in her home
until she is ready to be adopted out. ~Melissa
I hope that the “people” and I say that lightly do see jail time for what they did to this beautiful girl! I don’t know how anyone could do this or any harm to innocent animals, though it happens more and more! People with past abuse issues should not be allowed to ever, ever own another animal.
Good Luck Valentine, keep us up to date on your beautiful story.
Thank you for your support. It is very appreciated. ~Melissa
How is she? I donated to the hospital in Valentine’s name. Any leads on the piece of crap that did this to her? What about her adoption—will she be up for adoption?
Thanks!
This is such a sad story and it is so hard to believev there are people in this world who are so evil. I sure hope there is a serious effort to find and prosecute the people responsible.
Please keep updates coming, there is a world full of people pulling for her. Thank you for the amazing work you are doing.
You folks are just amazing. Thank you so much for all your efforts to set things right in this little girls life. Hopefully someday she will forget the horrendous start of her young life and only dwell on the love and support she is now enjoying. Bless you Valentine and thank you for not giving up on the human race and hanging in there till rescue came to save you!
thank you so much Kym. All of us really like to hear that there are others who support our efforts. ~Melissa, Reg, Chuck, Cindy, Margy, Patti, Sam, and of course Valentine
With our multi level design and the sheep skin furry pads used for landing you cat will feel right at
home on this Cat Climber. This isn’t real, because cats never do vengeful things. Having a large cat bed is also the best one to have when you have more than a single cat at home.
Amazing issues here. I am very glad to look your article.
Thank you a lot and I am taking a look ahead to contact
you. Will you kindly drop me a mail?
Way cool! Some very valid points! I appreciate you penning this write-up plus the rest
of the website is also really good.
