Foster

Fostering can be one of the most rewarding experiences a person can have. Yet, it is the most difficult volunteer any rescue has recruiting. I hear time and time again, “I NEVER could do that! How can you let him or her go after fostering. I would get too attached.” I can tell you that it was one of the first things asked of me when I signed on as a Volunteer at Sounds of Silent Spirits, and it’s so awesome as I know I get to change that animals life completely. I am the first person to bestow love, care and attention to them, yes it forms a bond but that bond transforms that special beings life forever! As far as saying good-bye to them I know that the adoption coordinator is so thorough that when it’s time to say good-bye I know that dog, cat, or horse is going to the best home possible. Also, the other benefit is that I get to have many more animals than I ever thought possible as when one is placed in it’s forever home I can have another one to love for a while before he or she is placed. So, if I have changed your mind and you think you would like to know more about our application process for fostering please email us at sossrescue@gmail.com ATTN: Foster volunteer.
Thank you for your interest.
